A Dallas police officer and two other people were shot Monday night during a disturbance call at an apartment complex in the Red Bird area on the city’s southwest side, authorities said.
The officer was struck in his body armor and is expected to make a full recovery, while the other two victims were taken to a hospital with injuries, one of them critical.
Dallas police responded around 9 p.m. Monday to reports of a disturbance inside a unit in the 4300 block of Woodhollow Drive, where they encountered an armed person and exchanged gunfire, police Chief Daniel Comeaux said.
