DALLAS (KDAF) — Brothers Noman Nawaz and Farhan Nawaz, of Mayfair Garden Express have brought a little excitment to Commerce Street in Downtown Dallas.
Now open in the heart of the city, the historic building was previously a pizzeria, as well a train station complex. They transoformed the space by bringing a beautiful, modern, and super inviting ambiance, perfect whether you’re a tourist exploring Dallas or a local looking for a solid food stop with a vibe. For downtowners, this is the perfect location, with great energy where you can try bold flavors all in one place.
Noman and his team shared items from the menu that makes their cuisine so genuine. The Chicken Butter Masala is grilled chicken prepared in fenugreek, cashew nuts in a butter and creamy sauce. Next up, is the slow cooked Amritsari Lamb Curry dish. Noman pointed out that the lamb shank takes 4 hours to cook with Punjabi spices. Last but not least, my favorite on the menu was the Chicken Biryani. This was my first time trying Raitabiryani rice simmered with chicken, cooked in steam served with Raita.
