Texas AG Ken Paxton vows to investigate alleged ‘sharia city’ coming to North Texas

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is keeping himself very busy these days. His recent to-do list includes sparring with rival Senator John Cornyn in their highly contested Senate race and suing several Texas smokeshops for selling synthetic 7-OH. Paxton is adding more to his plate: an investigation into a DFW-area land project being pursued by developers in Dubai.

On Tuesday, Feb. 10, Paxton used social media to share an official statement about his latest concern as AG.

“Public reporting has noted that a U.S. subsidiary of the Dubai-based development company, SEE Holding, in connection with Kaufman Solar LLC has purchased thousands of acres near Kaufman, Texas,” reads the statement, also shared on the AG’s official website. “The proposed development has been alleged to be for the purpose of creating a ‘sustainable city’ and it’s been noted that as many as 20,000 foreign nationals could be able to move into the new development.”…
