AUSTIN, Texas — Gov. Greg Abbott continued to support investigations into school districts accused of helping facilitate anti-ICE walkouts on Tuesday, despite several districts denying their involvement.
Abbott took questions about the walkouts after casting his ballot in the primary at the Austin Recreation Center on Tuesday.
“Bottom line is we need to get to the bottom of this,” he said. “We need to make sure that educators are performing the role of educators, which means educating our students, which means keeping students in the classroom and getting funded on an average daily attendance.”…
