Texans with a taste for Swedish furniture — and meatballs — may soon have more shopping options in their area, as IKEA announced it would open 10 new stores across the U.S. in 2026.
The new stores will span Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Oklaohma, Virginia and Texas, with three of the stores slated for the Lone Star State, the company said in a report released Tuesday.
The Dallas area will see two new stores, including one in University Park and one in Rockwall. Filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show the University Park store will occupy around 44,000 square feet, while the $17 million new construction in Rockwall will take up around 109,000 square feet…
