ARLINGTON, Texas — A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed while he and a group of friends “were handling a weapon and pointing it at one another” in an Arlington home, police said.
The Arlington Police Department said officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 10:31 p.m. Friday at a home on Sausalito Drive, near W. Arkansas Lane and Little Road. When officers got to the home, they found the teenage boy unresponsive with a gunshot wound in a bedroom. The boy died at the scene despite emergency efforts to save him, Arlington police said.
Arlington PD said their preliminary investigation found that the victim and multiple friends were in possession of the firearm while inside the home and “were reportedly playing with it just prior to the shooting.” The gun discharged, striking the victim, police said…
