Dallas police officer arrested for a second time in as many months, officials say

DALLAS — A Dallas police officer has been arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, his second arrest in the last two months, officials said.

Lt. Jeremy Carter was arrested in Midlothian on Wednesday, according to police officials. Carter was on administrative leave following an arrest on Dec. 24, officials said.

Midlothian police said officers at a QuikTrip gas station heard a car alarm around 2 a.m. Wednesday. The alarm was from a car that was driving through the parking lot. When officers pulled over the vehicle, Carter stepped out and showed “signs of intoxication,” according to police. Carter then underwent field sobriety tests and was arrested…
