Dallas Lieutenant Busted Again In Midlothian DWI Case

Dallas Police Lieutenant Jeremy Carter is facing a second DWI arrest in just over two months, after Midlothian officers took him into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on Wednesday. Carter, badge No. 9550, has been with the department since August 2008 and was already on administrative leave stemming from a December arrest. He will remain off duty while Dallas police internal affairs reviews the case.

The Dallas Police Department said in a public blog post that Midlothian officers arrested Carter yesterday and listed his current assignment as Detention Services. The notice states he “will remain on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation,” according to the Dallas Police Department. That post also notes that Carter has been with the department since August 2008, although earlier coverage this fall identified him in a different role.
