Dallas police arrest ‘serial drive-by shooter’ in series of shootings, armed carjacking

DALLAS, Texas (KWTX) – Dallas police officers arrested a 21-year-old man they say is responsible for three drive-by shootings and an armed carjacking in 2024.

The Dallas Police Department’s Gang Unit took Nehemiah Drake into custody on Feb. 11, 2026. Drake was wanted in connection with three shootings that happened within an hour on June 11, 2024, and a June 23, 2024, carjacking, according to police.

Gang Unit officers responded to three separate shooting scenes on June 11 in the 6800 block of Nandina Drive, the 1400 block of McKenzie Street and the 4200 block of Willow Springs Lane. In each case, witnesses reported that gunfire came from suspects in a passing vehicle, police said.

Investigators later determined nearly 300 rounds were fired across the three locations. The Gang Unit continued to pursue leads to identify those responsible, according to police…
