VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas — One person has been arrested and another is wanted in connection to a multi-agency investigation into counterfeit luxury items.
Orlando Gonzalez Marcella has been charged with trademark counterfeiting over $300,000, a first degree felony. He remains in custody at Dallas County Jail, while Aida Karina Lopez Alvarez, another suspect in the investigation, remains at large.
According to Rowlett Police, investigators seized 62,694 suspected counterfeit items following an investigation into a social media-based distribution operation operating in Rowlett. Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security and several anti-counterfeit experts representing brands like Cartier, Chanel, Christian Dior, Coach, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada aided in the investigation…
