DALLAS — Grab your green and mark your calendar — the Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival is back this weekend, and whether you plan to join the party or steer clear of the traffic, there are some key road closures you’ll want to know.
Parade Route & Timing
The parade kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m. on Blackwell Street, rolling down Greenville Avenue, and wrapping up at SMU Boulevard around 2 p.m.
Road Closures to Watch
To keep the massive crowd moving safely, several major roads will be shut down:
- Greenville Avenue between Park Lane and Mockingbird Lane closes at 10 a.m.
- Additional closures begin at the same time, including:
- Caruth Haven Lane
- Southwestern Boulevard
- Lovers Lane
- University Boulevard
- SMU Boulevard
Good news for those trying to cross the area: Mockingbird Lane will remain open for cross traffic.
Want to Avoid the Traffic? Take DART
DART is your best bet if you’re looking to ditch the car. Riders can hop off at:
- Park Lane Station
- Lovers Lane Station
Both offer easy access to the parade route — no parking headache required.
Don’t Miss the Festival
Before or after the parade, head over to Energy Square, where the festival runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect food, music, drinks, and thousands of your closest green‑clad friends.
