Six-year-old Jackson has been at the Mesquite Animal Shelter in Texas for a year. His story began on a sad note, but he’s a bright star, and everyone who meets him is determined to help him find the happy life he’s meant to enjoy.
Just this week, Jackson left the shelter; his tail wagged with exuberance, and the smile on his face melted hearts as he happily left. For sure, Jackson’s patience had paid off – he was going home:
After 365 long days in the shelter, Jackson finally found hope—a family promised him forever. But in less than a week, that promise was broken, and he was returned, heartbroken and confused.
