KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Multiple agencies are discussing likely causes and potential solutions for an apparent trouble spot on U.S. 80 in Kaufman County after three accidents at nearly the exact same location in the past two weeks.
“I think the biggest thing is for folks to realize that we see it too. We’re not in any way, shape or form ignoring that,” Forney Police Chief Carrie White told WFAA.
A multi-vehicle accident on March 12 involving an 18-wheeler killed one driver in a fiery crash eastbound on U.S. 80 just past Windmill Farms Boulevard. Tuesday of this week, at the exact same location, another multi-vehicle crash also involving an 18-wheeler that burst into flames, blocked the highway again for several hours.
