Mesquite police are bracing for a possible teen surge at Town East Mall after social-media posts started circulating about a large juvenile gathering at the shopping center. In response, the department says it will roll out an increased, highly visible presence at the mall over the coming days, working with mall management and regional partners to keep things orderly and family-friendly.
Parents and guardians are being urged to keep a close eye on their kids’ online activity. Officers warned that if a juvenile ends up involved in an enforcement action, families should expect a call.

In a post on the Mesquite Police Department Facebook page, officials said they are aware of social-media chatter encouraging a large juvenile gathering at Town East Mall. Officers will be out in force and easy to spot in and around the property, while coordinating closely with mall management and regional partners.
