Dallas man allegedly caught with drugs in bank fraud scheme arrested in Bryan County

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) – A Dallas man was arrested in Bryan County after he was allegedly found in possession of Fentanyl while attempting to defraud a Durant bank.

David Mendel, 52, was booked into the Bryan County Jail on Friday, March 27.

Mendel was given a number of felony charges, including:

  • Make/sell/possess/display a false I-D.
  • False pretenses/bogus check/con game
  • Aggravated trafficking in Fentanyl

Court documents allege that on March 27, Mendel showed up at the First United Bank in Durant with another man’s I-D in an attempt to pull out $16,000 from the victim’s bank account…
