An illegal immigrant in Dallas remains in custody today after being charged with the grisly murder of his wife, whom he had married less than thirty days prior. Carrollton police arrested 24-year-old Francisco Mendez-Marin on March 18 following the discovery of 20-year-old Karla Rangel’s body.
According to investigators, Rangel died after her throat was slit with a pocketknife.
