Bomb squad breaches suspicious vehicle that prompted bomb threat in downtown Dallas, video shows

DALLAS — Dallas police’s bomb squad breached a suspicious vehicle in downtown Dallas after a possible bomb threat, which led to lockdowns of El Centro campus of Dallas College and Bank of America tower on Tuesday afternoon, sources told WFAA.

Police responded to the 900 block of Pacific Avenue, near the El Centro campus of Dallas College, where sources told WFAA there was concern of a bomb in the area. Officials confirmed to WFAA that El Centro campus was under lockdown. Bank of America tower was also under lockdown “security reasons until further notice.”

Sources told WFAA it began with a traffic stop of a black Tahoe, and officers saw something suspicious that they thought was a possible bomb.
