Some Texas neighborhoods are seeing feral hogs for the first time

One of the most invasive species in Texas is showing up closer to home, tearing through neighborhood yards as it spreads.

In Mesquite, packs of feral hogs—sometimes as many as 10 at a time—have been digging up lawns and destroying gardens for weeks, leaving behind churned soil and stripped plants. The activity has picked up over the last six weeks, prompting residents to push city leaders for help.
