DALLAS — A Dallas auto mechanic has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Jose Cruz Badillo-Rivera, 50, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison on April 14, 2026, by U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant III, officials said.
According to information presented in court, an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in January 2020 identified Badillo-Rivera as a multi-kilogram methamphetamine distributor. Authorities said he negotiated drug transactions at his Dallas automotive mechanic shop…
