Dallas Park and Recreation implementing new procedures for Fair Park live events after music festival draws noise complaints

DALLAS — Days after Dallas Park and Recreation Director John Jenkins said the department “learned its lesson” following noise complaints against a Fair Park music festival, new procedures have been immediately implemented for Fair Park live events.

These changes stem from the Breakaway Music Festival at Fair Park last week, which drew complaints from East Dallas residents several miles away from where the event took place.
