Thousands without power in Texas

TEXAS — Thousands of residents across Texas are without electricity Saturday morning as scattered outages affect multiple regions of the state, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, approximately 4,690 homes and businesses are without power statewide, representing about 0.03% of the more than 15.6 million customers tracked. While the percentage remains relatively low, Texas currently ranks second in the nation for the total number of outages.

The highest number of outages was reported in Harris County, where more than 1,000 customers were affected. Other counties experiencing notable outages included Bexar County with 849 customers impacted, Calhoun County with 365, and Dallas County with over 200 outages reported…
