Man set apartment on fire, assaulted apartment leasing manager, police said

DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas man reportedly started a fire in his apartment and then ran into a leasing office to stab the manager, according to court records obtained by WFAA.

30-year-old Rigoberto Contreras Pirela ran into the leasing office of the Aventine at Kessler Park apartments on Tuesday afternoon, jumping onto a desk with a knife in his hand, and stabbing one of the leasing managers in the head, an arrest affidavit states.

The affidavit goes on to say Contreras Pirela was able to stab the victim several times in the head and upper back before knocking them to the ground, but the assault continued, it states…
