DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man accused of a lengthy standoff in June 2025 appeared in court for a final pre-trial hearing on Wednesday, July 1.
Back in June 2025, SWAT and police swarmed a house on Mini Court for a search warrant, eventually taking Shane Smith into custody. While searching the property, authorities found the remains of 39-year-old Nicole Slusser.
