HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – After a company’s proposal to install a solar farm in Harmony Township was declined by the Ohio Power Siting Board last month, Invenergy has four days left to appeal the decision.
As of now, the company has not yet filed an appeal. If they do file, the board would move to a rehearing with a window of 30 days to issue another ruling.
In Harmony Township, many residents are excited after what they’re calling a major victory, with members of the Harmony Farmland Preservation Coalition celebrating an early win.

According to the co-founders of the HFPC, the majority of the land where the Sloopy Solar Project was proposed is classified as prime land, growing crops such as soybeans, corn and alfalfa.
