Ohio man sentenced to 4 years after strangulation, domestic violence convictions

XENIA, Ohio (WKEF) — A Beavercreek Township man was found guilty and sentenced to four years in prison after a two-day jury trial over a violent assault on his intimate partner and their 2-year-old child’s mother.

According to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Dennis Gill, 39, was convicted of strangulation, along with domestic violence and endangering children on August 26. He was acquitted on a second count of domestic violence.

Evidence at trial established that Gill assaulted his intimate partner inside an apartment in Beavercreek Township on June 5, 2026. Prosecutors said Gill strangled the victim until she was unconscious, punched her in the face with closed fists, and struck her with household objects, including a speaker and children’s toys, and ripped clumps of hair from her head…
