Heat Advisory continues, and rain chances increase heading into Labor Day weekend

Hot and humid weather continues for yet another day. Highs will be in the lower 90s, with heat index values at or just above 100 degrees this afternoon. There is a slight chance of a few showers or thunderstorms, but many spots will stay dry. However, if a thunderstorm does develop, there will be the potential for strong wind, hail and heavy rainfall.

Tonight, the chance for thunderstorms continues. Saturday will also be a little unsettled. While it won’t rain all day, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will peak before dropping for the rest of the holiday weekend.
