The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse is approaching quickly! For Ohio, this will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime event! Ohio hasn’t seen a total solar eclipse since 1806, and after the 2024 eclipse, there won’t be another one until 2099.
If you live in or will be in the Dayton, OH area on Monday, April 8, 2024, the day the eclipse will happen, you are in luck! For the first time since 1806, Dayton, OH is in the path of totality and will be plunged into darkness for 2 minutes and 43 seconds beginning at 3:09 pm.
The totality path of the 2024 solar eclipse is expected to be 124 miles wide and will stretch across 13 states, from Texas to New Hampshire.
