UPDATE: Stolen car, suspected of trying to ram police cruiser, sparks investigation in Xenia

Officers are investigating after they found a stolen car that was suspected of trying to ram into a police cruiser.

The car was reportedly stolen out of Butler Township and the driver was suspected of trying to ram into a police cruiser, according to a Xenia Police incident report.

The report stated that Butler Township Police told the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) that it was stolen around 2:35 a.m. Officers chased it before it got onto Northbound Interstate 75, the report said.

Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatchers tell News Center 7 they were chasing a reported stolen car on Dayton Xenia Road before terminating the pursuit.

Our news crew found Xenia Police officers investigating outside a church parking lot at the 1100 block of Dayton Avenue.

We are looking if anyone has been arrested.
