Public comments wanted for potential future ODOT projects

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is asking for your opinion regarding possible future construction projects.

Twenty-eight applications were sent to ODOT for recommendation.

Public input is being sought to get the consideration of what residents in different areas think and want to see in their areas regarding these projects. Since the list is a TRAC draft, not all projects on the list will move forward.

ODOT is wanting to hear from the public on the following projects in the Dayton area:

Butler

  • I-75 at I-275 Interchange
  • Different changes to improve roads and lower congestion
  • I-75 at Millikin Road
  • Addition of a diverging diamond interchange, and other road improvements

Montgomery

  • I-70
  • Add two more lanes between Upper Lewisburg-Salem Road to SR-48

Preble

  • I-70
  • Add two more lanes between US-127 and the Indiana-Ohio border

“We certainly do want to hear from people and that will certainly be part of the decision-making project as we move from this draft list to a final list for transportation funding,” said Matt Bruning, press secretary for ODOT.
