Task force arrests Dayton fugitive in Georgia

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A Dayton fugitive was arrested in Georgia on Friday morning by a U.S. Marshals task force.

According to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service, the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested Laquinn Davis around 6:30 a.m. in McDonough, Georgia on Feb. 2.

Suspect detained after standoff with SWAT, police in Harrison Twp.

Davis was wanted by Dayton police on several charges including Rape, Felonious Assault, Strangulation, Having Weapons Under Disability and Aggravated Menacing. He has been booked into Henry County Jail in Georgia while he awaits extradition for his court appearance in Ohio.

The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted in the arrest.
