11 apprehended during local auto theft operation

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Multiple agencies in Montgomery County came together to conduct an Auto Theft Suppression Operation this week.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, along with Dayton Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol and other local law enforcement conducted an operation this week to reduce the threat of auto theft in Montgomery County.

During the operation, seven vehicles fled from law enforcement, according to a post from the sheriff’s office .

Eleven people were apprehended during the operation, and multiple items were recovered, including seven firearms, two stolen vehicles and one stolen ATV.
