COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio has reported its first measles case of 2024, the Ohio Department of Health said.

The infected person is a child from Montgomery County, which includes Dayton.

The Ohio Department of Health is working with local officials to figure out who might have been exposed.

They’re not aware of any more cases.

Ohio had one case in 2023 and 90 in 2022, 85 of which were part of an outbreak in central Ohio.
