Dayton police chase ends in Five Oaks crash

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A brief police chase this morning ended in a crash.

Dayton Police told 2NEWS crews on scene that after a short pursuit, the fleeing vehicle crashed into a tree. The vehicle was allegedly stolen, and police found a weapon inside.

It is currently unknown where the chase began, but it ended just before 3:30 a.m. at Richmond Avenue and Manhattan Avenue in the Five Oaks neighborhood in Dayton.

The male driver and female passenger were taken to the hospital and then placed into custody by police.
