After going viral for his memory, Dayton 3-year-old is special kid

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — If you were to ask any parent if their child is special, the answer is always going to be “yes,” and rightfully so.

But every once in a while, some kids stick out more than others.

For University of Dayton graduates Nick and Jane Palmer, their 3-year-old son Vincent is unique in ways you may have to see to believe.

On the outside, he’s a typical toddler.

“He’s got loads of energy, he has his meltdowns like a 3-year-old,right,” says mom Jane.

But after sitting with him for a few minutes, you learn there’s so much more that meets the eye.

“He just picks up on things really quickly,” she says.

Like presidents: He can tell you the name and number — and sometimes hobby — from just a picture. Not to mention state capitals and TV personalities.

But what he’s famously known for around these parts: the UD flyers basketball team. This video going viral of him helping announce the lineups during a home game.

His mom says his amazing memory sometimes baffles her.

“I just feel like it’s something you wouldn’t…you wouldn’t believe it until you saw it,” she says.  “You know what I mean? It’s just like one of those things. You’re like, how do you remember this?”
