Dayton native, an acclaimed flutist, wins Grammy in classical category

Dayton native Brandon Patrick George, an acclaimed flutist, is a newly minted Grammy winner. At the 66th annual ceremony held Feb. 4 in Los Angeles, the 2004 Stivers School for the Arts graduate won in the Best Classical Compendium category as a member of the New York-based chamber music ensemble Imani Winds. The group was among the contributors to “Passion For Bach And Coltrane,” arranged and composed by Jeff Scott and recorded live last summer.
