Demolition crews find ‘fully intact’ dead body in basement
Officers were sent to the 1300 block of Huffman Avenue when demolitions crews discovered the dead body while working at a house that had previously burned down on Nov. 29 .
Due to the intensity of the fire, crews were unable to search the house entirely from the damage caused to the building. An emergency demolition was ordered.
When crews worked to haul away debris from the house, the body was discovered.
Officials have not confirmed a direct connection between the fire and the discovered body.
This incident remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
