Huber Heights man accused in 2023 fatal stabbing pleads guilty

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A Huber Heights man has pled guilty to charges in a stabbing that killed another man in March 2023.

According to Montgomery County court documents, Lytus Jordan III has pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence charges. These charges are in relation to a fatal stabbing that occurred in Englewood on March 12, 2023.

Jordan was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with Shaunn Monroe at the Hematite on Lau Parkway when video surveillance shows the two entered a restroom while arguing. A short time later, video shows only Jordan leaving the room.

According to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, employees later discovered Monroe’s body in the restroom, where he had been reportedly stabbed to death. Jordan was taken into custody after investigators reviewed the security footage.

Jordan was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and three counts of tampering with evidence on March 22, 2023 by the Montgomery County Grand Jury.
