DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A Dayton Police Officer was hit during a traffic stop late Wednesday night.
The traffic stop occurred at W. Fairview Ave. and Catalpa Dr. in Dayton around 9:50 p.m.

According to DPD’s public information officer, a woman got out of the vehicle and ran away on foot during the traffic stop. At that time, a man got on the driver’s side and drove off.
The male suspect, who has multiple active warrants, was arrested in Indiana after fleeing in what turned out to be a stolen vehicle. The woman was also arrested.
The officer suffered minor injuries, was checked out by medics and treated on the scene.
