DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A way to beat the heat, feel some funky vibes and help out for a good cause.
The Greater Dayton Realtist Association — a fixture for black realtors since the late 1940s — is hosting “Funk N’ Sip” tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Milton Athletic Club in East Dayton.
The event is 70s themed and, for each ticket purchased, four adult beverages will be given in exchange.

Proceeds from the event will go towards helping renters in underserved communities become homeowners. Kim Williams, president of the Greater Dayton Realtist Association, spoke on why that is the focus ahead of the event.
“When we can all have good, equitable, safe housing, that really will help with some of the other issues that we’re having,” Williams said.
