Police presence expected Thursday in Montgomery County

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Drivers traveling through Montgomery County will likely see a law enforcement presence on Thursday.

Officials from the Dayton Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol will be visible on State Route 48 in Montgomery County on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 6 p.m.

According to OSP, the three law enforcement agencies are collaborating in a joint traffic enforcement detail on S.R. 48.

While on the roadway, authorities will be working to reduce crashes, suppress crime and bring awareness to drivers through safety measures. Law enforcement will also be on the roads in an effort to provide transparency.
