Tornado confirmed in Preble County: NWS

PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — The National Weather Service in Wilmington has confirmed a tornado occurred in Preble County on Tuesday.

According to NWS in Wilmington, a “weak tornado” occurred during the late afternoon on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The organization cites damage reports, photographs and radar data as how it came to the decision.

A tornado warning was issued for Preble County at 4:40 p.m. It was set to expire at 5:15 p.m., but officials made the decision to cancel it before then.

A remote damage survey is expected to happen soon.
