Pet microchipping available at free event this month

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Getting your pet microchipped can increase the chances of your pet returning home if they every get lost.

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton will host a drive-thru style microchipping event on Oct. 25 from 1 to 5:30 p.m. The event is free to attend for anyone with cats or dogs needed microchipped.

Since this event is drive-thru style, no appointment is needed.

Microchipping is an easy way to allow for peace of mind. If your pet is ever lost, a microchip can help find them faster.

The Humane Society is located at 1661 Nicholas Road in Dayton. Drivers are asked to enter through the Danner Avenue entrance.
