Beavercreek PD looking for 2 suspects in credit card skimmer scam

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The Beavercreek Police Department is asking for help identifying two individuals accused of placing a credit card skimmer on a self-checkout at a gas station.

The incident reportedly occurred on Oct. 22 at the Sheetz located at 1270 N. Fairfield Road.

Beavercreek Police also shared the following tips on social media:

  • Check for signs of damage or tampering on card readers
  • Give the card reader a gentle pull and twist; skimmers will come loose
  • Regularly monitor credit and debit card statements
  • Report unauthorized use immediately
  • Notify the business if you see something suspicious
