Construction of Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s location delayed

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The project to construct Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s location in Huber Heights is delayed.

Buc-ee’s, a Texas-based convenience store company, filed a petition in Clark County, which blames an ongoing legal dispute between the city of Huber Heights and Clark County.

The dispute between the two parties revolves around whether Huber Heights or Clark County should provide sewer and water services to the future site.

Both Buc-ee’s and Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore reportedly attribute the delay to the Clark County magistrate, who has not made a decision on the services in over 18 months.

The company broke ground at the site in August with hopes to be open in late 2025.
