SPRINGFIELD, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A detour will be in place all week to allow crews time to repair railroad tracks through Springfield.
The City of Springfield shared a pos t to notify residents that North Bechtle Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, Nov. 18. The road will be closed at the rail tracks near Perry Street for repairs.

A detour will be in place using US-41. The city asks residents to plan accordingly and follow posted signs along the detour route.
The road is expected to reopen Friday, Nov. 22.
The railroad that crosses N. Bechtle Ave. was damaged in August earlier this year when a trail derailed . The road was closed at Perry Street and Snyder Park Road for over 24 hours before being reopened, but additional repairs must be made to the railroad tracks.
