Taste of Belgium is shuttering another location after closing five Greater Cincinnati locations earlier this year.
The local restaurant group announced Thursday that it will permanently close its Austin Landing bistro, at 10267 Penny Lane in Miamisburg. The last day of operation is Sunday.
“Closing our Austin Landing location was an incredibly difficult decision, but one we needed to make to ensure the survival of our business as a whole. While we originally chose this site for its promise as a vibrant community hub, shifting dynamics have made it challenging to meet our goals. Despite our efforts, we were unable to generate the momentum needed to thrive in this location,” founder Jean-François Flechet said in a press release.
The Austin Landing restaurant, which opened in July, was the second Taste of Belgium bistro to open in the Dayton area following the Beavercreek location.
The group said it has decided to close the new restaurant due to “empty tables, rising food and labor costs and other difficulties (that) continue to affect restaurants nationwide,” per a press release.
