Springfield Township’s Dumpster Days for 2025 have been set with five Friday-Saturday dates throughout the year.
With a punch card provided by the Department of Public Service, residents will be able to make three drop-offs during the year with one pickup full of discards allowed per visit. The numbered wallet-sized punch card must include the address and be presented at each visit, according to the township’s notice of rules. All loads will be inspected.
The dumping is “not intended for raw garbage or as a substitute for your household garbage collection,” the township said, and waste from both commercial and industrial businesses is not permitted under the program.
Paint cans, barrels, drums and tanks must be empty with lids removed. While brush and tree limbs are accepted, they must be separated from other waste. Items that will not be accepted include, but are not limited to, ammunition, batteries, tires, engines, chemicals, computers and roofing material.
