DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A place for military families to stay at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base while a loved one is staying in the hospital has officially reopened.
The 88th Air Base Wing posted to social media Tuesday announcing the official reopening of Wright-Patt’s Fisher House.
“The Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital,” said the Wing.
Col. Travis Pond, deputy commander at the 88th Air Base Wing, participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the event:
