Driver fleeing traffic stop faces multiple charges after killing 64-year-old woman in crash

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – A driver accused of killing a 64-year-old woman in a wrong-way crash as he fled law enforcement officers is scheduled to return to a Butler County courtroom Tuesday.

Charles Lee Sullivan III, 41, was indicted last year on four felony charges: aggravated vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, possession of cocaine and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.

If he does not change his current not-guilty plea, Butler County Common Pleas Court Judge Kelly Heile will get his case for trial.

Sullivan fled a traffic stop on Ohio 129 on Aug. 13, 2024, driving west in the eastbound lanes, when his vehicle crashed head-on into one driven by Hue Nguyen near Interstate 75, according to the crash report…
