Dollar General to award thousands to Ohio organizations

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — About $300,000 is set to be awarded to Ohio non-profits, schools and libraries through Dollar General’s Literacy Foundation.

According to a press release, the literacy grants are being provided as part of the Foundation’s support of adult, family and summer literacy programs across 48 states.

“For over 30 years, the Foundation has been investing in literacy and basic education programs in our hometown communities,” said Denine Torr, executive director of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
